Patiala: Court resumes hearing in immigration case against Daler Mehndi

Patiala, October, The court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class) Sukhwinder Singh today resumed hearing in the case of illegal immigration against Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher Mehndi. During the hearing, Superintendent of Police (Detective) Moga, Amarjit Singh Ghuman, deposed before the court. Ghuman, who was posted as an SHO at time of the registration of the case, had arrested all accused, including Daler Mehndi, Shamsher Mehndi and Bulbul Mehta. He had also made some recoveries, which were taken as evidence in the case. Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher Mehndi had landed in trouble for allegedly dropping off members of his troupe on foreign lands. Daler Mehndi and his brother has been accused of illegally sending people, disguised as members of his troupe by charging a hefty passage money abroad.
